One central plant supplies multiple buildings
Working with an external specialist planner, a private district heating network was created in Freudwil. The central heat generation system consists of two Fröling wood-chip boilers with outputs of 150 and 60 kW and a 5,000-litre buffer tank. The fuel comes from forest owned by the organisation behind the network. The connected houses and apartment buildings are individually served by district heating pipes. Each building has a compact substation that transfers heat to the building's own heating system.
Project Description
From the central plant to each individual heat consumer
The substations are connected to the central boiler plant by a bus communication line and exchange operating and control information with it. We installed both the central plant and the substations and integrated them into the individual buildings. For new connections, we contacted the respective property owners directly, planned the complete installation within the building and carried out the connection to the heating network. This allowed us to support each heat consumer from the first contact through to the final handover of heat within the building.
