The existing heat pump supplied the property with heating and domestic hot water while also providing cooling. All three functions needed to remain available after the replacement. The real challenge, however, was the plant room: the new NIBE successor model had to fit on the small existing concrete plinth and be integrated neatly into the tightly routed pipework and adjacent system components.
We replaced the old heat pump with the appropriate NIBE successor model and integrated it into the existing system so that heating, domestic hot water and cooling would all remain available. While we were on site, the customer also showed us a TeknoPoint wine-cooling unit that was no longer working. Thanks to our in-house refrigeration expertise, we were able to inspect the unit, recharge it with refrigerant and return it to operation. By the end of the visit, not only the building’s heating and cooling were working again, but the wine cellar as well.
Three properties, three unusual installation situations: a unit without a suitable rear wall, a recessed ceiling cassette and a concealed installation in a sloping roof. We planned each solution individually and coordinated all other trades involved.
