About this
position
Renovating a bathroom requires precise workmanship and sound decisions on site. Which parts can be retained? How do new fixtures and pipework fit into the existing space? What needs to be coordinated with the tiler and other trades? At Burkhardt in Dübendorf, this is where your skills make a difference. You will renovate bathrooms, renew plumbing installations and help refurbish plumbing risers. The work that will eventually disappear behind a wall matters too. We want installations to be completed properly and to work reliably in everyday use. When you notice something that does not fit, you raise it and help find a practical solution.
Your role
- Install sanitary fixtures, lay water supply and drainage pipes and complete the associated connections to a professional standard.
- Renew installations in bathroom and plumbing riser renovations, treating existing building components and our customers’ homes with care.
- Read drawings, check the installation conditions and discuss technical discrepancies with the project manager before they cause further problems.
- Coordinate your work with the other trades and contribute practical ideas for a well-executed installation.
- Check your work, document completed tasks and record outstanding issues clearly so that follow-up work can proceed.
What you bring
- You have completed a Swiss EFZ apprenticeship in plumbing installation or hold an equivalent professional qualification.
- You work accurately and independently, taking responsibility for quality and the agreements within your area of work.
- You think ahead during renovations, ask when something is unclear and want to broaden your knowledge of different installations.
- You treat customers and colleagues respectfully, explain your work clearly and support your team.
