About this
position
A heating system needs to suit the building and work reliably in operation. That calls for well-planned pipe routes, careful connections and an understanding of how the components work together. As a heating installer at Burkhardt in Dübendorf, you will carry out heating replacements and renovations. You will work on systems in individual houses, apartment buildings and commercial properties. Our services include heat pumps, district heating and wood-fired heating, as well as their integration with storage and controls. You contribute your installation experience, recognise difficulties in existing buildings and discuss them with the planning and project management team. This turns a concept into a system whose workmanship you can stand behind.
Your role
- Install and renew heating systems, lay pipework and fit the associated valves and components to a professional standard.
- Implement hydraulic designs, considering access, operation and future maintenance throughout the installation.
- Check drawings and site conditions, helping find practical solutions for renovations and installations where space is limited.
- Coordinate with planning, project management and service colleagues, raising technical discrepancies early.
- Check your workmanship, document completed work and record outstanding issues for handovers and the next steps.
What you bring
- You have completed a Swiss EFZ apprenticeship in heating installation or hold an equivalent professional qualification.
- You are a skilled installer with an interest in heat pumps, hydraulics and the interaction between system components.
- You work reliably and independently, share your knowledge and explain technical matters clearly to customers and colleagues.
- You hold a category B driving licence and are ready to work on site at our customers’ properties.
