You are the face of Burkhardt for our customers. Your manner, practical skills and clear explanations shape their trust in our company from the first moment. One customer has no heating; another needs a plumbing installation replaced. You assess a hydraulic circuit, advise on the solution and look after air-conditioning systems too. We are looking for a hands-on all-rounder who wants to understand technology, thinks ahead and enjoys varied work. As a service technician at Burkhardt in Dübendorf, you work directly with installations and the people who use them. You listen, investigate causes and explain your findings clearly. You bring technical vocational training and sound professional knowledge. If you lack experience with a particular system or task, we work on it together. We teach you the missing specialist skills and help you develop into a proficient professional. You need the willingness and enthusiasm to keep learning. A clear head and enjoyment of solving practical problems matter.
Your role
- Investigate faults in heating, hot-water and plumbing systems, narrow down causes systematically and carry out repairs within your specialist field.
- Assess hydraulic circuits and the interaction of their components. Discuss discrepancies with the relevant colleagues and contribute to improvements.
- Replace plumbing installations and components, complete connections to a professional standard and check that your work functions correctly.
- Carry out minor electrical work within your professional qualifications and authorisation. Coordinate work beyond that scope with the appropriately qualified specialists.
- Install and maintain air-conditioning systems and provide ongoing servicing. Build any missing system-specific knowledge through our induction and support.
- Represent Burkhardt with end customers: listen, offer clear advice, explain findings and next steps, and keep your agreements. Your manner and work build trust. Be open when further specialist assessment is needed.
- Document maintenance, repairs and unresolved issues clearly, sharing insights from operating systems with planning, installation and service colleagues.
What you bring
- You have technical vocational training, for example in heating, plumbing or refrigeration, or an equivalent qualification. Sound professional knowledge is essential.
- You are practically skilled, understand technical relationships and approach fault-finding and execution carefully and methodically.
- You take responsibility, recognise the limits of your knowledge and seek support when a task needs additional experience.
- You bring curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, treat customers respectfully and explain your approach clearly.
