Do you understand building services and know how to win people over to good solutions? At Burkhardt in Dübendorf, you represent our technical expertise to customers. You listen, understand their needs and explain clearly which approach suits their building and its users. You connect end customers, property managers and architects with installers. You combine technical advice, sales and your own planning work. Where appropriate, Burkhardt carries out the installation. Your consulting and planning services are also available to customers working with another installation company. Your remit goes further: working with management, you will build our own planning and consulting department, helping develop its services, processes and technical standards while progressing real customer projects. Our work covers bathrooms and plumbing, heating, heat pumps and air conditioning, as well as systems combining photovoltaics, storage and building automation. You bring a sound technical foundation. We teach you missing specialist knowledge. Your own contribution is sales talent, empathy, clear communication and the persistence to turn a good conversation into a reliably managed customer order.
Your role
- Engage with customers, visit buildings and establish what the owners need. Ask questions, understand their concerns and create a clear basis for advice.
- Develop practical technical options and explain their benefits, costs and differences clearly. With a planning horizon of 20 to 30 years, consider operation, maintenance access, upkeep and future changes. Help customers understand the consequences of their decisions early.
- Offer suitable consulting and planning services and, where appropriate, installation by Burkhardt. Discuss quotations, address concerns and support decisions through to an order. Record agreements and next steps, and follow through on them.
- Produce system concepts and planning documents, coordinate technical interfaces and provide clear handovers for our own or external installers. Support their technical coordination.
- Develop our planning and consulting department with management: its services, customer journey, processes and technical standards.
- Work closely with project managers, installers and service colleagues. Use feedback from installation and operation to keep improving advice and design.
What you bring
- You have professional training in building services, for example a Swiss EFZ qualification in heating or plumbing planning, or an equivalent qualification with relevant practical experience.
- You have sales talent, recognise customer needs and can present technical solutions persuasively and honestly.
- You speak clearly, listen attentively and communicate with empathy and dependability.
- You bring commitment, initiative and persistence. You follow tasks through, keep promises and ask for help when you need more knowledge.
